Free online voice recorder.
Record your voice in the browser, listen back, download the file. No account, no watermark, and nothing is uploaded: the audio never leaves your device.
Your audio stays on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
Works in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, on desktop and mobile. Downloads as WebM or M4A depending on your browser; both open in any modern audio editor.
Made by the podcast voicemail people.
This recorder is the same one-tap experience listeners get on a Call.Show page. If you run a podcast, imagine this button on your own link: your audience taps it, talks, and their message lands in your inbox with a transcript, an AI title, and a summary. That’s Call.Show, one flat $60 a year.
- This page: you record yourself, and the file stays with you.
- A Call.Show page: anyone records for you, and every message arrives in your inbox transcribed and summarized, ready to play on your show.
Questions
Is this voice recorder really free?+
Yes, completely. No account, no signup, no watermark, no time limit under 30 minutes. It's a free tool from Call.Show, the podcast voicemail service.
Where does my recording go?+
Nowhere. Recording, playback, and download all happen in your browser on your device. The audio is never uploaded to any server, mine included.
What format is the download?+
Whatever your browser records natively: WebM (Opus) in Chrome and Firefox, M4A (AAC) in Safari. Both open in every modern editor, and either converts losslessly-from-source to WAV or MP3 in seconds if a workflow needs it.
Can I use it on my phone?+
Yes. It works in the mobile browser on iPhone and Android, no app needed. Tap the red button, talk, tap stop.
How long can I record?+
Up to 30 minutes per recording. For most voice notes, auditions, and podcast contributions that's far more than you need.
